Ninjump follows the same endless-runner game style that has become exceptionally popular since titles like Temple Run breached the mainstream, and this game focuses on a ninja that climbs a tower with his sword in hand. As the player controls the ninja and makes him climb higher and higher, they will collect power-ups, items, and destroy multiple enemies.

This app has been downloaded more than 100 million times since it was released, which makes it one of the most popular games of its type ever released, and certainly one of the most popular in the recent years. Part of what makes the game so addictive is the simple, repetitive action. Players will control a ninja as he jumps between walls during his ascent of the tower. He carries a sword that is used to cut down his enemies as he climbs, and there are numerous items and power-ups that can be acquired along the way.

Like most games of this variety, the goal is to get the highest score you possibly can before you are defeated. The game gets more and more difficult as you climb higher, which is another facet of its addictive nature. Every time you finish a round, you instantly want to play again to see if you can go further. This app is a great way for friends to play against each other as they both try to get the highest score possible, and it is just as fun when played alone to beat your own high score.

The game's design is fun and engaging, but the soundtrack could certainly use some attention. There is only a single song that loops endlessly, much like the game itself, and that song quickly becomes annoying. The app is also populated by numerous ads that help keep the game free. There is a premium version of the game that removes these ads, but they aren't incredibly intrusive compared to other mobile games. Players who have no trouble ignoring mobile ads will find this game to be quite entertaining and fun.

Much like other endless runners, the action in this game is relatively fast-paced, which is great for killing time. Enemies found in the game include birds that will dive-bomb the ninja, evil squirrels, throwing stars from enemy ninjas, bombs, and much more. You'll control the ninja by tapping to jump, and the character will hack and slash at any enemy in his path. In order to gain power-ups, players must destroy three of the same enemy type in a row. Other boosts include shields that protect against enemies and enhanced weapons. Even with the huge variety of enemies, it is possible to run into obstacles or fall off ledges that will end the game.

Backflip Studios created Ninjump along with several other popular mobile games like Spellfall, DragonVale, Paper Toss, and many others.
